Ambassador Robyn Rihanna Fenty will on Tuesday, Independence Day, be conferred with the honour of National Hero.
Prime Minister Mia Mottley made the announcement moments ago during the Independence ceremonies in National Heroes Square, The City.
“May you continue to shine like a diamond and bring honour to your nation … ,” Mottley told Rihanna, playing on the words of the national pledge.
Barbados’ living National Hero, Sir Garfield Sobers, was among those present. (SAT)
