The loss of Tyrone O’Brien “Bashment” Bailey has left a deep void in the lives of his family, friends and co-workers.
The 42-year-old postal worker was riding his motorcycle when it was involved in an accident with two cars around 6 p.m. on Monday near the junction of Bush Hall Main Road and Pioneer Road, St Michael.
Bailey suffered injuries to the head, chest and feet and died at the scene.
At the family home in Bayley Alley, Upper Sweet Vale, St George, relatives remembered Bailey, also known as “Bashie”, as someone who loved his family and friends and always strived to improve himself.
“Tyrone was a joyous, fun-loving person with a loud laugh. At Christmas, he liked to cook ham or souse and invite people over to eat and lime. He was the big brother figure of the neighbourhood, a big man who liked to lift weights. He loved art, drawing, music, documentaries and researching theories. I idolised him; he taught me so much growing up,” sister Kelly Blenman said. (CA)
