UPDATE: Stabbing incident results in death

A dispute between two men that turned violent in 1st Avenue Goddings Road, Station Hill, St Michael, has left one of them dead and a community in shock.

Police reported that the men got into an altercation around 3:30 p.m. yesterday, and subsequently both received stab wounds. One man was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital via ambulance and the other via car. One died while undergoing treatment.

Last night, police public relations officer, Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss, said they were conducting an unnatural death investigation and were asking all witnesses to come forward.

Residents said the area was not known for violence as the last such act occurred three years ago. (CA)
