Real estate firm Terra Caribbean is reporting a 50 per cent increase in quarterly property sales, with most acquisitions made by local home buyers.

The information was shared in the company’s third quarter 2021 Rental & Sales Market Report authored by real estate agents Emma Hutson and Betty Cathrow.

“The number of sales transactions in quarter three were up by 50 per cent in 2021. This was driven by the number of sales closing at popular projects like Harmony Estates, South View and The Grove in Christ Church resulting in a 271 per cent increase in that parish,” they said.

“The high number of transactions in these developments coupled with prices below $300 000 contributed to a lower overall average price in quarter three 2021.” (SC)
