Nine positive COVID-19 cases in the West Indies’ camp, including five Barbadians have forced the regional team’s tour of Pakistan to be prematurely terminated.

The West Indies’ One-Day-International (ODI) cricket series against Pakistan, which was scheduled to begin tomorrow, has now been postponed until June 2022.

Following additional positive COVID-19 tests in the Windies camp, Cricket West Indies (CWI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) yesterday agreed to pull the stumps on the three-match ODI series scheduled for December 18-22.

On Wednesday, CWI announced that five more members of the touring party returned positive results and would be subjected to a period of self-isolation. (AG-B)
