It will be another 28 days on remand for retiree Keith Eric Eversley after the District “A” Magistrates’ Court turned down his attorney’s plea for a release from prison.

The 64-year-old, of Oak Leaf Villa, Mangrove Plantation, St Philip, was back in court where he is facing a charge of doing serious bodily harm to his wife Oshin Williams with intent on November 11.

When Eversley first appeared, the prosecution had objected to his release, citing the serious nature of the offence and that the complainant had been hospitalised with a fractured skull.

It also told the court the offence was allegedly committed when the complainant was sleeping and that she needed to be protected from the accused.

Eversley was then remanded to HMP Dodds for 28 days. (HLE)
