Attorney-at-law Calvin Hope has been removed as a Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) director on the Cricket West Indies (CWI) board.

The stunning news comes following a BCA board meeting last night.

Several sources confirmed the development to NATION SPORT but when contacted, BCA president Conde Riley said he could not speak on the matter.

This newspaper also reached out to Hope for comment but he declined and deferred to Riley.

It is understood that BCA treasurer Jason King will replace Hope as a director.

Two weeks ago, Hope, who is the vice president of the BCA, criticised CWI president Ricky Skerritt and his administration.

Hope said the Skerritt-led administration had impacted regional cricket development while questioning the sacking of interim head coach Richard Pybus in 2019. (AGB)
