The man accused of threatening to kill staff at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in a video is spending this weekend on remand at Dodds Prison.

Rodney Corey Patrick Griffith appeared before Magistrate Jared Richards in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged under the Computer Misuse Act that on January 11 he used a computer to send an electronic communication which caused alarm and distress, constituting a threat, and that he intended to cause or was reckless as to whether it caused annoyance, inconvenience, distress or anxiety to the recipient or any other person to whom he intended its contents to be communicated.

He pleaded not guilty.

His attorney Sade Harris, after making an unsuccessful bail application, requested the shortest possible adjournment date, which was granted. (BA)
