Police still investigating hit-and-run

Police are still actively conducting investigations into a hit-and-run accident, which occurred sometime after 6 p.m., on Sunday, March 11, along Bibby’s Lane, St Michael, resulting in serious injuries pedestrian – Ronald Knight, 45, of Exchange Hill, St Michael. 

The registration number and driver of the vehicle are unknown.

Knight was walking along the left side of the road, when he was struck from behind by a green Suzuki Vitara, which ran over him in the process, as the driver drove away without stopping.

Knight received multiple injuries. To date his condition is listed as critical but stable. 

Investigations are continuing. The police are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this accident or can provide any information to assist in the investigation, to contact the District ‘A’ Police station at 430-7242 or 430-7246, the Operations Control Room at 430-7100 or any police station.
