The man who was the alleged videographer of an incident in Chapman Lane, The City, was remanded yesterday after he appeared in court charged with incitement.

Shamar Ricardo James, 36, a steel bender, of Murphy’s Pasture, Chapman Lane, pleaded not guilty in the District “A” Traffic Court to inciting Shakel Rouse to commit the offence of serious bodily harm on March 11.

Prosecutor Sergeant Shane Chase objected to James being released, as he cited Section 5 of the Bail Act and the protection of society.

He told the court the allegations were that the accused influenced people within the community to commit an act. He added the prosecution feared that James had the potential to reoffend. (HLE)
