Joshua Morris lit up the Barbados Cricket Supplies Under-13 Cricket Tournament with massive century that guided former champions Fusionz Boutique Passage Juniors into the final on Sunday.

In a commanding display, Morris blasted a boundary-studded unbeaten 184 off only 84 balls in helping Passage Juniors to a big victory by 178 runs over Wanderers in their semi-final at the Rubis Sports Club, Brighton.

Morris, a student of Coleridge & Parry, struck the ball to all parts of the ground, smashing 22 fours and seven sixes as Passage amassed a tournament high 353 for four in 35 overs.

Rashad Worrell weighed in with 51 off 28 balls and came back with the ball to grab three wickets in Wanderers’ response of 175 for eight.

The only real resistance for Wanderers came from Jaden Webster, who made an unbeaten 92 off 95 balls that included 13 fours.

Passage Juniors’ opponents in next Sunday’s final will be Empire who advanced with a five-wicket win over Co-Operators General Insurance St Catherine Barracudas at Bayfield.

Empire restricted the hosts to 100 in 34.1 overs and moved into their first final after achieving the target for the loss of five wickers in 31 overs. (HG)
