Low water levels at Castle Grant affecting St Joseph

Some Barbados Water Authority (BWA) customers in St Joseph, particularly those at higher elevations, are experiencing water outages and low pressure.

This situation has resulted from the Authority’s inability to maintain normal reservoir levels at the Castle Grant facility which sends water to a number of districts in the parish.

These areas include:  Sugar Hill, Braggs Hill, Airy Hill, Lammings, Horse Hill, Bissex, St. Bernard’s, Chimborazo, Melvin’s Hill, Mellows, Lower Parks, Upper Parks, Spa Hill and surrounding neighbourhoods.

The Authority apologises for the loss of the piped-borne supply to these residents but will continue to assist them via water tanker as a temporary measure. (PR)
