Worrell pleads guilty to robbery, assault charges

Ansley Lamar Worrell, 30, of #117, Woodbourne Park, St Philip, appeared before Magistrate Wayne Clarke in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court today.

He was arrested and charged with the offence of robbery, in connection with the robbery committed against Senator Maxine McClean.

Worrell also faced additional charges of two counts of making off without payment, one count of theft of number plate, one count of unlawful possession of cannabis, and one count of assault.

He pleaded guilty to the robbery and assault charges, and was remanded to prison until April 6, pending a presentencing report.

He was further remanded to reappear in the District ‘C’ and District ‘B’ Courts on March 13 and 14 respectively, for the other offences. (PR)
