Senior attorney Sir Elliott Mottley has served notice that he wants a medical company and the Medical Board summoned to the court to give evidence in the Coroner’s Inquest into his son Warren’s death last year.

The Queen’s Counsel’s comments came as the inquest, by Coroner Magistrate Graveney Bannister, into Warren Mottley’s death was scheduled to get off the ground yesterday in the No. 8 Supreme Court. He died on June 29, 2021.

Sir Elliott, who appeared with son and fellow attorney Stewart Mottley, as well as Queen’s Counsel Leslie Haynes for the Mottley family, referred the court to a paragraph from a senior lawman who said a doctor had refused to speak to investigators.

“That is why I am asking you to send a summons to him [the doctor]. I think you should issue a summons to both [the doctor], [a medical company] and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital,” he told Magistrate Bannister. (HLE)
