Government is starting to deliver on some of the promised housing solutions for Barbadians.

More than 150 Barbadians in the lower and middle income earning brackets will be spending Christmas in their own homes in the Ridge Meadows Development in Christ Church.

They are among 200 homeowners who have already invested in the private/public sector project executed by BJ Investments, which will ultimately see 565 houses built on the 75-acre site in two phases.

After taking a tour of the project with chairman of BJ Investments, Bjorn Bjerkham, accompanied by officials of his ministry earlier this week, Minister of Housing and Lands Dwight Sutherland described the venture as “a wonderful project for home ownership where ordinary Barbadians cannot just have a piece of the rock, but can own a home”.
