UPDATE: Death at Tweedside Road

Lamar Ricardo Travis Johnson, 23 years, of 1st Avenue Nurse Land, Tweedside Road, St Michael, was shot and killed just before noon on Wednesday.

Johnson died in nearby St Hill Road.

The victim was walking along Tweedside Road when he was approached and chased after by two men on a motorcycle. One of the men pulled a firearm and fired a number of shots after which the victim fell to the ground.

The assailants fled on the motorcycle in the direction of the Globe Drive-In, an eyewitness told Nation News.

Police quickly responded and summoned ambulance personnel to the scene and a medical doctor later pronounced death. Investigations are ongoing.

The incident reportedly occurred about 11:45 a.m. (PRSAT)
