Red-hot win at Erdiston Special School

GUIDED by excellent performances from victor ludorum Kash Chase and victrix ludorum Jameisha Worrell, Red House ran away with the title at Erdiston Special School Sports last Friday at the school ground.

Six-year-old Chase won the 50 and 100 metres, softball throw and sack race to end with 48 points while Worrell gained 42 from wins in the 100, 200 and obstacle race.

Their efforts helped Red to amass 613 points, leaving Yellow to settle for second place with 444.

Damarco Trotman-Hadaway was also outstanding for Red, winning the 25 metres, target throw and bean bag race while Rickim Catlyn took the 400 metres and obstacle races.

Anton Weir triumphed in the 200 and standing broad jump while Tiara Bishop captured the 25 and 50 metres. Jazarah Holder excelled in the 400 and target throw and Gelicia Straughn did in the bean bag.

The outstanding athletes for Yellow were Mwamba Browne, in the 400 and 800; Kaleb Burke, in the 100 and standing broad jump; and Nathan Lashley in the target throw and bean bag. 

Makai Reid, Ashton Alleyne-Renwick, Azani Williams and Davonte Lashley also gave commendable performances. (EZS)
