The final day of the Frosteez Esther Maynard Zone of the Barbados Secondary Schools Athletic Championships (BSSAC) is setting up to be a cracker at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex.

Combermere School made quite a statement to lead both the boys and girls at the end of yesterday’s competition, but it won’t be a walk in the park for the Waterford, St Michael lads and lasses.

In the boys’ section, Combermere fought off a stiff challenge from Alleyne School to earn 291 points. The latter are nine points off the lead, while Christ Church Foundation School hold third place with 252.

Combermere have 294 points among the girls, followed by Foundation on 271 and Alleyne in third on 240.
