Police search minibus with schoolchildren

Acting on information received, police stopped a minibus bound for Speightstown, St Peter this morning.
Just after 9 o’clock, officers stopped the minibus along Black Rock Main Road in St, Michael.
They had received a tip that a school child or children on board the bus had a weapon.
Information circulating on social media indicated that four knives were found in schoolbags, but police public relations officer Acting inspector Roland Cobbler said this was not the case and police investigations were continuing.
In the past two weeks, six children have been injured in two separate stabbing incidents. (SAT/PR)
