Infectious disease specialist The Most Honourable Dr Corey Forde has complimented several doctors at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) for staying the course amidst challenging circumstances.

Forde, who was honoured with a national recognition for his exemplary work at the Harrison Point Isolation Facility in St Lucy during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic post-2020, said it was important that the QEH be able to celebrate the hard work of its employees.

His comments came during the hospital’s 14th internships awards, where the youngest doctors were recognised for their work from 2022 to this year.

“This is a tremendous occasion,” Forde told those gathered, including director of medical services Dr Anthony Harris, leader of the internship programme Dr Clyde Cave, and deputy director Dr Chaynie Williams.
