Red house withstood the challenge of the Bradshaw sisters from Blue House to retain their title at St James Primary Inter-House Sports at the Trents ground last Friday.
Despite the efforts of the three Bradshaw girls who claimed divisional titles, Red won comfortably with 399 points with Blue a distant second on 303. Yellow were third with 195.
Red, who produced four of the eight divisional champions, showed more depth to regain the title with victor ludorum Tyrese Glasgow spearheading the effort.
Competing in the Under-13 division, Glasgow accumulated 29 points from victories in the 100 metres and cricket ball throw, second places in the 200 and 400 and a third place in the 800.
The victrix ludorum title went to Blue House’s Arianna Bradshaw, whose 35 points in the Under-13 division came from wins in the 100, 200, 400, and 600 and a third place in the cricket ball throw.
Bradshaw’s younger sisters, Alanna and Aleyah, also impressed. The former was the Under-9 girls’ champion with 25 points, while the latter was the top Under-11 girl with 24 points.
Red House took both Under-7 divisional titles through Nicera Welch-Hinds (16 points) and Rymeiko Brathwaite (18 points) and also produced the boys’ Under-11 champion in Latori Rowe who finished with 27 points.
Blue House’s Micah Dalrymple was the boys’ Under-11 champion with 27 points. (HG)
