Burger King gives back

For the first four years Burger King recorded steady customer growth, but general manager Ryan Walters said last year was flat.

“We have had an increase in traffic over the last five years; 2017 was kind of flat; it wasn’t a really good year for us, but we have been able from 2013 to 2017 to build our traffic significantly,” Walters said.

The company held a customer appreciation day yesterday at its Trident House branch to thank customers for their support over the five years.

Walters said the day was also designed to allow management a time to interact with the customers and hear their views on how they felt and what they would like to see done better.

Attending the day’s event were two regulars, sisters Gloria Sealy and Sheila Pilgrim-Roach.  Sealy said they were members of the St Mary’s Anglican Church and always visited the Trident House branch of Burger King for breakfast on Monday and Wednesday mornings before attending Open Church ministry.

“We leave home early on mornings and we do not get to take breakfast at home, so since in here opens early we think it was the most appropriate place to come,” said Sealy who lives in Grazettes, St Michael.

Pilgrim-Roach, who lives in Wildey, said she felt good to be there since the manager invited them to be part of the celebration as loyal customers.

Customer appreciation days were held at all five Burger King branches this week.

Other community and social work activities are planned for the remainder of the year. (LK)
