Yellow are back where they belong. The once dethroned champs have taken back the reins at Vauxhall Primary after winning yet another inter-house sports at Briar Hall on Friday.

Led by victrix ludorum Jaleah Ramsay, Yellow captured their third sports title in four years by amassing 787 points overall.

Red, who denied Yellow a three-peat last year, had to settle for second this time around after finishing with 733 points, while Blue and Green tallied 694 and 585 points, respectively.

Ramsay accounted 44 of Yellow’s points by winning the Under-13 Girls’ 200, 400 and 600 metres. She also came second in the 100 and placed third in the cricket ball throw.

At least Green had something to cheer for, thanks to Donte Taylor, who was crowned the victor ludorum following his 34-point performance.

Competing in the Under-11 division, Taylor copped gold in the 100 metres and cricket ball throw before coming second and third in the 200 and 300 metres, respectively.

But he had to share the top honours with Blue’s Jamari Moore, who also had 34 points after beating Taylor in the 200 and then placing second in the 100, 300 and cricket ball throw.

Yellow also accounted for the other Under-13 division winner, as Tyrique Pompey had 26 points in the boys’ category.

Red’s Kato Morris (28) and Jemini Lewis (34) of Blue took top honours in their respective under-9 divisions. (JM)
