Mallalieu: Bosses need protection

GOVERNMENT SHOULD COME out and support employers who are being vilified after following the COVID-19 directives issued during the pandemic.

Furthermore, says Independent Senator Andrew Mallalieu, there should be laws protecting the employers against lawsuits under similar circumstances.

Mallalieu said one of the prevailing cautions during the issuing of the directives was not to make criminals out of innocent people.

“I won’t go into the details here but it is public record. I would go as far as to say that in cleaning up the legacy of COVID-19, which we all want to put behind us . . . we should consider legislation that would protect the employers who simply followed the directive and did what they were asked.   1. What do you mean that employers did what they were asked? If What you were asked were unjust, you as an employer should have spoken out. Did the government told you to give insensitives to those who choose to take the jab? Don’t you know that is discrimination?
