Crop Over has officially begun.

Moments ago, about 200 musicians of the Barbados Defence Force Zoave Band, tuk Band, dancers, masqueraders, a group of Mother Sally, nut sellers, and other characters took over the City as part of the Digicel Ceremonial Delivery of the Last Canes.

This year, Crop Over celebrates its 50th anniversary.

The parade began around 3 p.m. at Pelican Island and it’s expected to travel to Heroes Square.

There are activities being held at Heroes Square, Golden Square and Independence Square. (TG)
