Fogging Schedule: November 18 to 22

Districts in St. Peter, St. James and St. Michael will be fogged by the Vector Control Unit, next week.

The team will start its weekly fogging exercise in the following St. Peter communities on Monday, November 18: Indian Ground Road, Orunmila Drive, Four Hill, Lonesome Hill, and Hibiscus Drive.

The Unit will then visit St. James, on Tuesday, November 19,  to fog St. Silas Heights No.1, St. Silas Heights No.2, St. Silas Heights No.3, St. Silas Heights No.4, St. Silas Heights No.5, Waterhall Terrace No.2, Westmoreland, and surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, November 20, the Unit will return to St. James, to target Sion Hill Tenantry, Halls Road, Rock Dundo, Bakers Avenue, Bakers Rise, South Drive, Bakers Woods, Upper Carlton No.1, Upper Carlton No.2, and environs.

St. Michael districts will be sprayed for the remainder of the week.

On Thursday, November 21, the team will go into Beckles Hill Nos. 1 and 2, St. Paul’s Avenue, Lawrence Avenue, Evelyne’s Avenue, Bayview Avenue, Alleyne’s Avenue, Walcott’s Avenue, Old Quarry Avenue, Piper’s Avenue, Jessamine Avenue, Curwen Avenue, Browne’s Avenue, Clarke’s Avenue, St. Luke’s Avenue, Chelsea Road, Chelsea Avenues Nos. 1 and 2, and Bay Street.

The fogging exercise will conclude on Friday, November 22, in the Farm Housing Area, Rosemont, Dodson Land, and Ashdeane Village.

Fogging takes place from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. daily and householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Children should not be allowed to play in the fog.

Members of the public are advised that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time.
