Police investigate shooting incident in Deacons Farm

The Barbados Police Service is investigating a shooting incident that occurred around 6:30 a.m this morning at Rosemont, Deacons Farm, St. Michael.

According to police reports, the incident stemmed from a dispute between two family members which resulted in a 32-year-old male being shot in his abdomen.

Emergency medical personnel treated the injured man at the scene before transporting him to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is still being investigated and is appealing to the public for assistance.

Anyone with information that could assist with the investigation is urged to contact the Black Rock Police Station at 417-7500, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477), or their nearest police station.

Authorities assure that all information provided will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
