Barbados Pride, led by Kevin Stoute and Ashley Nurse, made inroads into Jamaica Scorpions’ batting on the third day of their rain-affected Digicel Professional Cricket League day/night match at Sabina Park yesterday.
Medium-pacer Stoute grabbed four for 58 and off-spinner Nurse took three for 52, as Jamaica Scorpions, resuming on 111 for two, declared on 176 for eight just after 6 p.m. local time (7 p.m. East Caribbean).
At press time, Barbados Pride were 41 for one.
At Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad and Tobago Red Force defeated Windward Islands Volcanoes by ten wickets with a day to spare, while at Warner Park, Leeward Islands were in a commanding position against defending champions Guyana Jaguars. (HG)
