Bahá’is in Barbados recently joined the worldwide celebration of the birth of Bahá’u’llah, founder of the Bahá’i faith, with a lecture followed by cocktails.

The local National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’is of Barbados invited family and friends to the bicentennial celebrations hosted at the Grande Salle in the Tom Adams Financial centre, where they heard about The Importance Of Bahá’u’llah’s Message To The World from Dr Eugene Andrews, a United States-based distinguished member of the faith.

Guests at the Grande Salle included Ambassador of the European Union Delegation to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, Daniela Tramacere; honorary Indian Consul in Barbados, Dr Philomena Harris; Honorary Consul in Barbados for the kingdom of the Netherlands, Anthony Gittens, well-known local businesswoman Asha “Mrs Ram” Mirchandani and Charge d’Affaires at the Venezuelan Embassy, Francisco Perez Santana.

After the formalities of the lecture, guests mingled at a cocktail reception in the courtyard. (GC)
