Multi-island motorcycle record holder Barbadian Kelvin “Bird” Daniel is leading a three-man team to the St Vincent Independence Festival drag race meet at the E.T. Joshua Raceway this weekend.
Daniel, Sheridan Mohamed and Terrance “Repsol” Ollivierre will be up against the cream of the region in the Deep Stage Quarter-final Mile Test ’n Tune qualifying today and the finals tomorrow.
Daniel will be aboard the Automotive Art/Damarios Cycles/Wow Displays/OP Garage/Keep InTouch Kawasaki ZX10R, while Mohamed will be riding his Black Knight Bikers Suzuki GSXR 1000, and Ollivierre, a XHOSA BMW S1000.
The riders are upbeat about the meet, as the strip is the latest to be added to the list of Caribbean drag racing venues. (TT)
