Man charged for market murder

Police have arrested and formally charged Kenrick Deane David, 42 years of Dodd’s Land, Church Village, St. Philip, for the murder of Geoffrey Olliver, 39 years of Reeves Hill, St. James, which occurred sometime between the 17th of August and the 30th of September 2017.

On the 17th of August 2017, Olliver was involved in an altercation with another man at the Cheapside Market, Cheapside St. Michael. As a result, Olliver received a stab wound to the chest, and was transported to the QEH by ambulance, where he was admitted for medical attention. On the 30th of September 2017, Oliver succumbed to his injuries.

David was subsequently arrested and formally charged for the murder of olliver. David appeared before Magistrate Douglas Fredericks in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court on Monday the 16th of October 2017, and was remanded to prison to reappear in court on the 13th of November. (PR)
