Auditor General Leigh Trotman is seeking to clarify recent public commentary regarding an audit into the operations of Home Ownership Providing Energy Inc. (HOPE Inc.), following the publication of a news article in the Sunday Sun on March 16, 2025.
In a statement issued today, Trotman explained that the excerpts referenced in the article were drawn from a Draft Report, which has not yet been finalised or officially issued by the Auditor General’s Office.
He further noted that the audit process is still ongoing, and a formal response to the Draft Report is currently awaited. That response, he said, is expected by March 21, 2025, after which the Final Report will be issued.
