Local legend Roger “The Sheriff” Skeete and his son Dane, will sit out today’s Winter Sprint organised by the Barbados Rally Club (BRC) from Oxford to Lamberts, St Lucy starting at 9 a.m.

“The engine is in pieces as remedial work has not been completed on the car,” Skeete told SUNSPORT.

“The Sheriff” who is currently second in the WRC group on 64 points, 11 adrift of leader Jamaica’s Jeff Panton,  was confident that the Sol/Flow/Automotive Art/Simpson Motors/WTI Subaru Impreza WRC S12B would be ready for the final event of the season, the Winter Rally slated for November 24 and 25.

“We will miss the Winter Sprint, but we will be ready for the Winter Rally and the top-class competition expected to face the starter in that event,” he said. (TT)
