Things continue to heat up in Miami as the annual Miami Broward One Carnival reaches a climax this weekend.

On Friday the Sticks ‘n’ Tones steel band defeated six other bands to claim the top spot in Panorama. The keenly contested event came off at the Central Broward Regional Park, and today thousands have returned to the same venue to revel in paint and power at Jouvert.

Today’s event started at 7 a.m. and ended just a few moments ago. All who attended visibly enjoyed themselves, among those spotted were Bajan artists Stabby and Kirk Browne.

The festival will officially end tomorrow with the highly anticipated Carnival Parade at the Miami-Dade County Fairgrounds.

There will also be a mega concert featuring a number of local and regional acts such as Machel Montano, Bunji Garlin, Edwin Yearwood and Wyclef Jean. (TG)
