Manhunt for escaped prisoner continues

Police and prison officers combed parts of Belfield and Wavell, St Michael earlier this morning in search of escaped prisoner Kishon Lamar Anderson Thomas, but came up empty.

The alarm was raised after the vehicle he was last seen driving yesterday, a silver Suzuki APV van with registration number M7730, was found parked on the Belfield pasture and was recovered by police.

Thomas 26, alias “Pappy”, “Paps” or “Tom”, an inmate at Dodds Prison and formerly of Seaview, St James, escaped from the authorities while at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was seeking medical treatment around 4 p.m. yesterday.

He is approximately six feet tall, of dark complexion and medium build. At the time, he was wearing a pair of blue pants and was bareback.

Police said anyone who may know Thomas’ whereabouts of Kishon Lamar Andersonis asked to contact C.I.D. personnel at the Central Police Station at telephone numbers 430-7189 or 417-7190, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1 800-8477 or the nearest Police Station. They also reminded the public it was a serious offence to harbour or assist wanted persons and anyone caught committing this offence could be prosecuted. (PR/SAT)
