UPDATE: Teen dies after road accident

A 13 year old boy is the latest road fatality in Barbados.

Police reported that the accident, involving a motor car, occurred in Campaign Castle, St George around 6:40 tonight.

Police also said that the boy was taken to the hospital by ambulance where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The car was being driven by David Ash, 59, of Thorpes, St James.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the teen disembarked a minibus, and on attempting to cross the road in front of the bus, was struck by the car being driven by Ash who was overtaking the bus. (CM)
