A portion of the Wildey Triangle in St. Michael has been temporarily closed due to severe waterlogging, the Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) announced on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

The affected northbound section stretches from Carters General Store to the rear of Courtesy Garage and is currently undergoing road repairs. Heavy rainfall in recent days has caused significant water accumulation, prompting officials to close the area in the interest of public safety.

Only local access will be granted to residents and the Barbados National Trust. Motorists are advised to use Wildey Road to access the ABC Highway or consider alternative routes to avoid delays.

MTW has apologized for the inconvenience and assured the public that updates will be provided as conditions improve and repair works progress. (MTW)
