St Michael West 2-0 winners

St Michael West gained a vital three points over Christ Church West Central in their opening fixture of the David Thompson Memorial Constituency Councils Football Classic at Belfield on Monday night.

Second-half strikes from Kemar Headley and Shanniel Marshall propelled St Michael West to a comfortable 2-0 win following a goalless first half.

In the night’s other encounter, home side St Michael West Central suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of St Philip West. 

A 19th minute Shaquille Payne strike earned the St Philip lads maximum points. (ML)
