St Philip man found dead in home

Police are conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of 66-year-old Fergusson Othneil Barton of Lucas Street, St Philip.

His partially decomposed body was discovered at his residence around 6:30 a.m. yesterday.

Barton lived alone.

Having last seen him on Friday and unable to reach him by telephone, two of his brothers went to pay him a visit a around 6:30 a.m.

Barton was found dead in the bathroom and the matter was reported to police.

Police will await the results of a postmortem to guide the investigations. (PR/NB)
