Four injured in accident

Police are investigating an accident which occurred around 11 a.m. today along Whitehall Main Road, St Peter.

It involved two cars and left four people injured.

One car was being driven by 73-year-old Eudora Cumberbatch of Black Bess, St Peter while the other was driven by 29-year-old Jamal Agard of Eden Lodge, St Michael.

Agard was accompanied by a 26-year-old woman and a four-year-old girl.

Cumberbatch complained of pain to the chest and head and received abrasions to her right knee. 

Agard received a laceration to his right shoulder, a puncture to his right armpit, and lacerations to his right wrist and hip.

His female passenger complained of pain to the head and right side of the body, while the four-year-old girl complained of pain to her right shoulder.

They were all transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.

Two fire tenders and nine fire officers, under the command of Acting Chief Deputy Fire Officer Errol Gaskin responded to the scene of the accident. (PR/NB)
