The Fireside Chat featuring American filmmaker and screenwriter Ava DuVernay was one of the highlights to date of CARIFESTA XV.
The event, which was moderated by Chief Executive Officer of the National Cultural Foundation, Carol Roberts, was oversubscribed.
DuVernay, spoke of her journey from marketing to behind the scenes in Hollywood and offered tips and advice. Among her credits include A Wrinkle In Time, Queen Sugar and Naomi.
