PILOTED BY GOAL SHOOTER Heather Belle, Police Boys’ and Girls’ Club plucked Chickmont Ballers 25-18 for their first win in the Linda Brooks Zone of the Barbados Workers Union Netball Tournament at the Netball Stadium on Wednesday night.

Belle netted 21 of 26 attempts and was assisted by Nicole Weekes, who shot four of 13, as Police dominated the first quarter, shooting 11 goals to just two by Chickmont.

Their attack faded somehow in the second quarter, with three goals to Chickmont’s four.

Trailing 6-14, Chickmont staged an amazing fightback, shooting nine goals in the third quarter to cut the deficit to one goal, 15-16. But Police netted nine goals in the final quarter to win by seven goals. (RG)
