All eyes on King

BARBADOS’ top player Darian King will attract special attention from Venezuela when the two countries clash in their Davis Cup Group 2 tie at the National Tennis Centre from tomorrow.

But Venezuela’s captain Yohny Romero conceded their task won’t be an easy one playing against the US Open qualifier on his home court.

“For us, it’s going to be difficult because it’s going to be here and with a strong player like Darian, it is going to be a tough challenge,” said Venezuela’s captain, Yohny Romero, at yesterday’s press conference at the Barbados Olympic Association’s headquarters.

However, Romero said his team had been improving and with the Davis Cup as priority for their country, they were prepared to work hard.
