Inniss lays into parents

GOVERNMENT MINISTER DONVILLE INNISS has once again lashed out at those parents he said were refusing to take their roles seriously.

Speaking at a St Michael East branch meeting on Sunday at St Giles Primary School, the St James South Member of Parliament said they should be held accountable for the actions of their offspring.

“There are just too many mothers and fathers in the society who are not pulling their weight and passing the buck onto somebody else,” he told party faithful as he addressed several national issues, including crime.

“For those parents and guardians and friends who go in the court making a lot of noise when their wicked-tail children are apprehended and [taken] before the court and . . . talk about how wonderful their child is, they should be arrested too for the kind of children they’ve unleashed into society,” he declared.
