PAN AMERICAN International Insurance Warrens will defend their Goddard Enterprises Limited senior women’s volleyball knockout crown against UWI Blackbirds following hard-fought semi-final victories on Sunday.
Both teams were extended to five sets each against determined semi-finalists at the Oldbury courts.
In the first semi-final, Warrens had to battle from behind to get by former champions Deacons 22-25, 25-19, 27-29, 25-23, 15-9.
Afterwards, the Blackbirds escaped the grill of Burger King Clapham Toners 21-25, 25-10, 25-18, 23-25, 15-11. (KB)
