IT WAS DOUBLE delight for Orange 3 Pinelands’ basketballers on a golden Wednesday night at the Barbados Community College.
Behind Most Valuable Player (MVP) Rasheed Maynard’s game-high 29 points, Pinelands won their maiden Summer Jam Under-19 title with a 98-84 victory over neighbours Burger King Clapham Bulls in the opening boys’ final.
Afterwards, Pinelands successfully defended their No.1 Beauty Supplies Women’s Knockout title with a comfortable 69-46 triumph over former queens, Station Hill Lady Cavs.
Blonde-haired centre Latifah Wood had the hot hands for Pinelands’ women with a game-high 21 points. (EZS)
