Tremor to southwest of Barbados

THE UNIVERSITY of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre has recorded an earthquake off Barbados.

According to data generated, the tremor was felt around 12:56 a.m. The magnitude was 4.9, at a depth of ten kilometres. It occurred approximately 128 km southwest of Bridgetown.

The centre was 122 kilometres southeast of Kingstown, St Vincent and the Grenadines and133 km north-northeast of Scarborough, Trinidad and Tobago.

There are reports it was felt in St Vincent. (NB)
