Deadly shooting in Cane Vale

A 40 year old Christ Church man is dead, the latest victim of a rash of shootings which have taken place across the island. Reports name the man as Orwin Moore of Water Street, Christ Church.

According to a statement from the Royal Barbados Police Force, the man was shot to death sometime around 8:00 pm last night Sunday, August 20th, whilst at Cane Vale Crescent in Christ Church.

 

The deceased was reportedly ambushed shortly after he drove a motorcar to Cane Vale to visit a friend, who he discovered was not at home. On reversing the vehicle to leave, he was shot multiple times in the upper body by an assailant, who then fled the scene.  The injured man was rushed to the QEH by private vehicle, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The police are continuing investigations into this matter and have asked that anyone who can provide information to assist, contact CID Oistins at 418-2608/9.
