The Social Empowerment Agency (SEA) officially expanded its community presence today with the opening of a new Client Centre at Southern Plaza, Oistins, Christ Church.

This is a move officials say reflects Government’s deepening commitment to stronger social protection and more accessible public services.

Delivering remarks at the ceremony, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs Wayne Marshall described the opening as “a distinct privilege”.

He noted that the new facility represented both a physical expansion and a reaffirmation of Barbados’ national focus on social inclusion and service delivery.

The first Client Centre was opened at Six Roads, St Philip.

SEA brings all of Barbados’ social agencies under one umbrella, an amalgamation of the Child Care Board, National Assistance Board, Welfare Department, National Disabilities Unit, and the Resilience and Reintegration Unit. (TRY)
