HIPAC LIMITED HAS announced a voluntary recall of two luncheon meat products due to a possible defect in the packaging that could lead to potential product spoilage.

A letter to customers from distributors Hanschell Inniss Ltd said the affected products were

Eve Luncheon Meat (300g) and Eve Chicken Luncheon Meat (300g) with the best before date range of June 26, 2019 to July 25, 2019.

The letter was signed by divisional manager, food and supplies Joy-Ann Carter.

“Hanschell Inniss and Hipac Limited advise that all steps will be taken to remove this product from shelves for return to Hanschell Inniss as distributor for subsequent destruction by Hipac Limited under the supervision of the relevant authorities,” the correspondence said.

Store owners were advised to immediately return any of the products in their possession.

The letter noted that there had been no reports of illness associated with the products to date. (NB)
